    Salary: £9.50 p/hr

    Fife Gingerbread specialises in supporting and empowering lone parents and families in need. The organisation has over 30-years’ experience of supporting families in Fife through early intervention and partnership working. Fife Gingerbread is looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant (CJS placement).

    This is an exciting opportunity to join Fife Gingerbread through the CJS (Community Jobs Scotland) programme. Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) is an employability programme delivered by SCVO which works with voluntary sector employers to create job opportunities for unemployed people aged 16 to 29.

    The programme has a focus on those most disadvantaged in the labour market – those who are care experienced or are carers themselves, early Armed Forces service leavers, those with criminal convictions and those who have disabilities or other health issues – and has already created jobs for 9,500 young people across the country.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Adhere to all Fife Gingerbread policies and procedures.
    • To ensure the smooth running of the office and reception.
    • Coordinating with the Internal Compliance Officer to ensure all relevant duties are covered, (including IT requirements, dealing with telephone calls, visitors, deliveries and general housekeeping) Collation of statistical information and reporting.
    • Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and ensuring mail is kept organised and recorded.
    • Providing administrative support to the Manager and staff.
    • Create and maintain information in the Fife Gingerbread database, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date and adding new information as required.
    • Assist the organisation to co-ordinate events.
    • Order office stationery and supplies as required and ensure office consumables and equipment is maintained.
    • Take minutes at meetings when required.
    • Any other appropriate duties as required.

    Person specification:

    You will preferably possess an SNVQ/NVQ 2 in Business Administration and have Microsoft Office experience or a relevant qualification. A minimum of 1 years experience of working in an office environment is desired. This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure/PVG check.
