    News/Events Category: Job Vacancies

    Post: Senior Support Worker
    Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £23,699 (unqualified), 24,298 (qualified) per annum
    Location: Kirkcaldy

Kingdom Support and Care is recruiting a new Senior Support Worker to provide high-quality and personalised support and care designed to meet individual needs and desired outcomes.

Kingdom Support and Care provides support to individuals in the community, including those with: learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, complex needs, mental health issues, physical disabilities, substance misuse, and alcohol-related brain injuries as well as age-related needs.

    About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of setting up and developing a new homelessness service in Fife. The service is a test of change and forms part of the Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan (RRTP) in Fife. The services will be led by Kingdom Support and Care CIC and be delivered in conjunction with our partners, The Richmond Fellowship Scotland and Frontline Fife. You will assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day running of an assertive outreach and temporary accommodation service in Central Fife, supporting those who experience repeat homelessness to plan, source and maintain housing solutions with support which enable people to break the cycle of homelessness and live well. You will supervise a team of support workers and be keyworker to supported individuals.

    About You:

You will be passionate about and experienced in working to reduce homelessness and have an understanding of trauma-informed practice. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated candidates who are solutions-focused and capable of balancing a number of conflicting priorities whilst remaining professional and delivering the highest quality of support. If you have two years of experience in a Support & Care setting and hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria this could be an opportunity for you. You must be flexible in your approach to work and it is essential you are able to work shifts which will include weekend and evening working. Sleepovers will not normally be required but this may change in the future. The role will include climbing stairs due to Hunter House being an old building that has been converted into flats.

A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes are essential. The posts are subject to a PVG Disclosure check. The cost of membership is borne by you. The successful candidate will be required to register with the SSSC.

For more information on the role/to apply, please visit Kingdom Support and Care's website. The closing date for applications is Monday 07 June 2021.

Kingdom Support and Care can offer full funding and support towards an SVQ qualification in Care, generous annual leave entitlement, enhanced entitlements for other types of leave, a free, confidential employee counselling service, and discounted gym membership.
