Driving your social impact through taxation
Created: 26/05/2021Social enterprises and co-operatives are using tax to drive social change across Scotland and the UK.
Some social enterprises have adopted the Fair Tax Mark or initiatives like Social Investment Tax Relief in order to build social change. We also have Community Wealth Building that prioritises local tax-paying business and Business Rates relief for third sector organisations.
But how else can social enterprises use tax for social impact? What else can government do? How do we change the narrative around tax to drive more money towards social impact?
Join Social Enterprise Scotland at its 'Driving your social impact through taxation' online event to discuss this and hear more from Graham Drummond and Jaime Boswell from Fair Tax Mark, Chris Lane from Charity Tax Group and Melanie Mills from Big Society Capital. Fair Tax Week runs from 05-13 June.
This event takes place from 11:30 - 12:30 on Wednesday 09 June 2021.
