Edina Trust - Bulb Project
Created: 19/04/2021The 'Spring Bulbs for Schools' project gives pupils the opportunity to be part of a real science investigation where they will contribute to the final result. This is a live experiment where there are no known outcomes and no "right" answers.
Schools are provided with daffodil and crocus bulbs to plant in a pot (one per pupil) as well as an additional 20 daffodil bulbs to plant directly in the ground (or in a large planter/raised bed) at the school. Schools will also be given a rain gauge and thermometer.
Who can apply?
School's are eligible if located in one of the following areas in Scotland: Scottish Borders, Midlothian, Fife, South Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire, South Ayrshire, North Ayrshire, Dundee, Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, West Dunbartonshire, East Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway, Clackmannanshire.
Apply as soon as possible. The scheme will close at the end of June 2021 or once they have accepted 100 applications in total, whichever is first. Application forms are available on the funder website.
