    About this course - Stress, Coping and Wellbeing

    Through this course you will explore an understanding of what stress looks like and how it affects us. You will look at the transactional nature of stress and what impact our relationships have on our ability to cope with and support others with stress. 

    Course objectives are:

    • To develop an awareness of your own stress and wellbeing and of the person(s) you support
    • To differentiate stress signatures and to understand the impact of transactional stress
    • To recognise different coping styles and gain awareness of strategies that can help manage stress and support wellbeing

    Each course requires around 6 hours to complete, delivered via an online learning platform and includes: 

    • 3 x 30 minute self-directed learning sessions via recorded presentations
    • 3 x 30 minute reflective learning activities
    • 3 virtual classroom discussion sessions delivered live


    Who is this training course for? 

    Scottish Autism has a series of online training courses available. They are aimed at practitioners, professionals, and those that work with or alongside autistic people in a variety of settings including support services, educational establishments and workplaces.

    Training takes participants through a learning pathway to increase their awareness and understanding of autism, exploring the most recent theoretical and practice based thinking on autism. While considering approaches that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of autistic people.
