This course aims to further develop participants' understanding of autism as a developmental difference. It will deepen understanding of typical and atypical development and explore what is meant by a spiky/uneven developmental profile in autism. The course will also explore the brain and emotional development and how we and others may respond to stress, in particular how autistic people may respond to this.

Who is this training course for?
Scottish Autism has a series of online training courses available. They are aimed at practitioners, professionals, and those that work with or alongside autistic people in a variety of settings including support services, educational establishments and workplaces.
Training takes participants through a learning pathway to increase their awareness and understanding of autism, exploring the most recent theoretical and practice based thinking on autism. While considering approaches that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of autistic people.
