Created: 27/01/2021LEAD Scotland is running online safety classes to give up-to-date advice and information about important topics like passwords, online scams and cyber attacks so you can feel more confident that you can use the internet while protecting yourself.
These classes are especially useful for disabled people but are open to everyone. The charity is also giving webinars for practitioners and organisations about how to give online safety information in an accessible manner.
How to promote digital safety in an accessible manner
Do you sometimes find it tricky explaining online safety to the people you work with? There is so much information out there and it can often be contradictory. This webinar is aimed at practitioners and organisations that work with people who may face additional barriers when using the internet safely. LEAD Scotland will look at the some of the barriers disabled people can encounter and focus on how to promote digital safety in an accessible manner. The webinar will contain practical tips, ideas, and methods to help support disabled people and carers to use technology safely.
