    Created: 10/12/2020, Updated: 08/01/2021
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Chance to Connect society lottery forms part of the Scottish Children’s Lottery. Despite its name, the Scottish Children’s Lottery is not just one lottery, but is made up of four individual society lotteries. Each lottery raises funds for a separate grant-giving charity that promotes the welfare of Scotland’s children across a spectrum of good causes.

Chance to Connect supports projects working in the areas of community development and citizenship, helping develop strong young adults. Projects or activities will work with the most vulnerable families and their communities, who are at a demonstrably high risk of being negatively impacted by poverty.

    Who can apply?

This is a grant for charities. Examples of projects or activities aimed at young people they may fund include:

    • community based leisure and sporting programmes
    • local youth clubs and recreational activities
    • local community projects physically enhancing the area and encouraging social inclusion and citizenship

Applications for this fund are now open
