    Job Title: Manager

    Salary: £27,664 pro rata per annum

    Hours: 16 per week

    Fairway Fife focuses on helping young adults with learning difficulties through peer mentoring. The charity aims to encourage its members to access social and leisure facilities within their local communities, enabling members to strive towards living their dreams through the support of non-disabled peers. Fairway Fife has a group of committed volunteers who want to make a positive difference in their communities. Using a variety of activities the charity seeks to establish caring relationships, where both members and peer mentors' lives are enhanced.

    Duties and Responsibilities


    As the Charity Manager you will be expected to support the development of Fairway Fife, encouraging support staff to provide quality services for young adults with learning difficulties. You will work with the Management Board to advance the Charity’s objectives, in doing so seek recognition and further support for the organisation.

    Your main duties will include but not be limited to:

    • Maintaining contact with the media and provide press releases, interviews and information where appropriate
    • Monitoring and evaluating the work of Fairway Fife, providing interim and end of project reports to funders and the Management Board
    • Liaising with and support the work of the Charity through a programme of capacity building, training and governance
    • Managing staff and mentors, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills and support to carry out their roles and responsibilities
    • Represent the organisation on key policy and good practice within the Disability Sector
    • Exploring all funding opportunities, securing funding where possible to sustain the development of Fairway Fife
    • Staying up to date with legislation and policy changes, which affect people with Learning Disabilities, Charities and the voluntary sector
    • To carry out strategic reviews, surveys, consultations and research into the Charity sector best practice
    • Ensuring proper safeguarding policy and procedure is implemented, so the organisation adheres to legal and moral obligations
    • To maintain strong partnerships with various organisations, to ensure Fairway Fife can continue and expand its positive work.
