  • Connecting Scotland - Preventing digital exclusion

    Third Sector Organisations are encouraged to apply to Connecting Scotland for devices that will help avoid digital exclusion among their service users.

    This phase of the project runs until 11am on 05 October 2020, with awards and delivery to take place from November onwards. The focus of this phase is support for individuals who are:

    1. digitally excluded – do not have an appropriate device and/or are not connected to the internet at home; AND  
    2. on low incomes so cannot afford to buy a device or pay for internet access;  AND
    3. ARE EITHER 
      • part of a household with children or where a child is normally resident (this includes pregnant women with no child in the household): OR
      • care leavers up to the age of twenty-six (in line with eligibility for aftercare support).

    Successful applicants will receive iPads and/or Chromebooks, together with support to develop digital skills for those service users who require it.
