    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    We asked people who attended these sessions earlier in the year, what they liked most about our training - here are some of their comments:

    • "Presenters were upbeat and friendly"
    • "lots of useful tips on how to advertise and recruit volunteers including tapping into their motivations/interests"
    • "(trainers) were both good at elaborating,clarifying the content. "
    • "Very informative"
    • "Very useful hints ... good mix of discussion, activities and providing info."

    Course Content

    Despite the constant interest in new and better techniques to recruit volunteers, the true challenge in the volunteer field is first having meaningful activities for volunteers to do. Without preparation you run the risk of attracting people who do not really meet your needs and therefore are the wrong volunteers for you; and having the wrong volunteers may be worse than having no volunteers at all.

    Included in the course:

    •    Motivations for volunteering;
    •    Developing opportunities;
    •    Methods of recruitment;
    •    Recruitment messages;
    •    Recruitment strategies.

    Who should attend

    Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.

    Cancellation Policy

    This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we will need at least 48 hours notice of any cancellation.

    Additional Information

    Notes from the session will be forwarded to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation form that will be e-mailed to you.
