    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    We asked people who attended these sessions earlier in the year, what they liked most about our training - here are some of their comments:

    • "As ever, very open and friendly,"
    • "The smaller group sessions, and the interactive polls"
    • "Being able to discuss in small groups, even though the class was run virtually"
    • "Facilitators kept the session moving,"
    • "I liked the use of powerpoint visuals used"

    Course Content

    This course will enable you and your organisation to feel more confident in understanding the difference between equality and diversity. This can then enable your organisation to recruit volunteers who can potentially bring along a vast amount of varied skills and knowledge that may support the skill set that you already have as well as boosting the services you provide.

    Included in this course:

    •    The difference between equality and diversity;
    •    What is meant by the 'protected characteristics';
    •    The benefits of promoting diversity in your volunteer team;
    •    Overcoming barriers/stereotypes;
    •    How we can support you.

    Who should attend

    Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation. Your organisation should be providing a service in Fife.

    Cancellation Policy

    This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we need you to give us at least 48 hours notice of any cancellation.

    Additional Information

    Notes from the session will be sent to all participants who complete a post-training evaluation.
