Lunchtime Learning Session 1 - Understanding the principles of Individual Placement and Support
Created: 01/09/2020FVA's "Lunchtime Learning" sessions are designed to enhance the skills and capacity of third sector providers operating in Fife.
Session 1 - Understanding the principles of Individual Placement and Support – delivered by FEAT
Participants will learn about the key principles behind the Individual Placement and Support employability model. This model has been developed specifically in the context of supporting people with significant or long-term mental health problems. IPS uses a keyworker approach, a 5 stage pathway and active connections with specialist support services to help people to gain and retain work. With an average 50% employment outcome rate feedback suggests that this model may translate well into more generalist employability services.
