    Created: 18/08/2020
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Museum Galleries Scotland has launched its 'Recovery and Resilience Fund' as a means to prevent museums from running out of funds before 31 March 2021 and will support them to develop their resilience by adapting to changed circumstances, supporting their workforce and re-engaging with their communities. This fund will provide will independent museums the chance to plan and implement measures that will help them to achieve greater financial sustainability.

    Who can apply?

Any independent museum (run by a not for profit organisation) can apply for support to cover a funding gap and help undertake activity that will build up their organisation’s resilience to manage the ongoing financial challenges brought about by the pandemic. This fund is open from 17 August 2020 and will accept applications on a rolling basis until it closes at 17:00 on Friday 30 October.
