Fife's Mental Health Strategy 'Let's really raise the bar 2020-2024' is now officially published following some recent delays.

This refreshed strategy, approved by the Health and Social Care Board in February this year, provides an overview of the work currently underway in Fife and lists seven key commitments essential to achieving a mentally healthier Fife. The strategy reflects the wider acknowledgement that our mental health is just as important as our physical health and sets out how we plan to respond to that need in the era of integration. The goal is to provide appropriate, responsive, consistent and flexible access to evidence-based services and support for people, within an appropriate timescale regardless of circumstances, developing a suitable workforce and making use of the latest technology and evidence available as we progress.

The strategy, by adopting a human rights based approach to our mental health, will aim to harness the breadth of peoples lived experience through public engagement and participation and developing peer to peer support to enhance the mental health of the people of Fife.
