    Good Conversations training will build your skills in using a powerful ‘personal outcomes approach’ to help people support with grow in confidence and achieve their goals; whether it be moving towards work, living well with mental illness or much much more.

    Participants will learn about the key elements central to a successful personal outcomes approach and explore how to facilitate personal outcomes focused conversations within a variety of settings.

    The training has been delivered already within Fife with feedback from participants highlighting the benefits in having strength based and personal outcomes focused conversations with people they support or who have responsibility for supporting and/or training staff, volunteers or participants.

    This session of Good Conversations is directly targeted at people working in the employability and/or mental health sectors.

    The course is three days long and all participants must be able to attend all 3 sessions:

    • Monday 17 February, 9.30am to 4.30pm
    • Monday 02 March, 9.30am to 4.30pm
    • Monday 16 March 2020, 9.30am to 4.30pm

    Participants will:

    • Review our collective understanding of the core elements fundamental to facilitating the personal outcomes approach, and how this shows up in our respective work settings
    • Discuss ways in which the good conversations approach can be used to facilitate different conversation and interventions which promotes change and encourages participant’s involvement in moving towards their desired outcomes.
    • Equip staff with a range of micro-skills to undertake Good Conversations and support the use of the personal outcomes approach in their work.

    The course will take place over three days and each session runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with registration opening at 9am.

    Please note there is no visitor parking at our Kirkcaldy office, but there are a number of car parks situated nearby.
