Where: Queen Margaret Room at Dunfermline Museum and Galleries, 1-7 Abbot Street, Dunfermline, KY12 7NL

Booking:  Visit our event page to book your place and be a part of the conversation.

Join us to hear more about working with Volunteers with Lived Experience - what we can all learn. We believe that this topic is one that everyone involved in the management of volunteers can engage with - no matter what your organisation does, so come along to learn more and have your say.

4 Great Reasons to Attend this Forum

    • We’ll explore the issue of service users moving into volunteering with your organisation – a very common recruitment path for hundreds of organisations in Fife
    • We’ll hear from Fife based organisations who manage this process effectively and want to share their experiences
    • We’ll discuss the potential risks of recruiting people with direct or indirect lived experience of your organisation’s area of work (including: mental health issues, substance misuse, criminal justice system, homelessness and many more)
    • We will also hand out hard copies of our ‘Lived Experience Volunteering – A Good Practice Guide

There’s an ever-increasing focus on the involvement of service users and people with lived experience in service design and delivery – Don’t miss out on attending what promises to be an enlightening session, places are limited so book today!

If you’d like to share your experiences of this topic at the Forum, please contact us in advance to discuss.

As always we are happy to facilitate lift-sharing - get in touch if you need help with this. The forum is open to anyone in Fife who is involved in the recruitment and/or management of volunteers.
