  • The National Lottery - Community Fund - One-off grants

    Created: 21/11/2019
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

The National Lottery are marking their 25th birthday with a one-off fund offering grants up to £1,000, and open to anyone with a great idea to make a difference in their local community.

The application will be short and simple, and you can apply even if you are unconstituted, or have another grant from them.

#CelebrateNationalLottery25 will open at 10.00am on Saturday 23 November.

Everyone who submits an eligible application will be entered into a ‘lottery draw’, which will take place after the deadline closes. They will fund over 2000 projects across the UK.

    What will it fund?

The fund is very broad. They can pay for any event, activity or item, costing between £100 and £1,000 that will bring people together between 01 February and 18 November 2020. This could include all sorts of things, like a community party or gala day, a lunch club, or equipment for litter pick up.

    Who can apply?

The big news is that un-constituted groups are eligible to apply to this fund, as they want to encourage new people to access National Lottery funding. It will also be open to all the usual types of organisation they fund.

    Next Deadline: 06 December 2019.
