The Project Worker will support the B:Activ Co-ordinator in the delivery of the B:Activ project. The two key objectives of the project lie in Health Promotion and Young Volunteer development. As well as allowing Children and Young People to lead healthier lives, the B:Activ project will lead to improved skills, confidence and self-esteem, helping them to build healthy relationships in a supportive environment. The Health Promotion aspect of the role is about delivery of physical activity, games and education sessions to Children and Young People. Day to day that could look like anything from working on a session plan in the office to delivering to groups of children. As well as that, the Project Worker will help coordinate health promotion projects such as stop smoking or healthy eating campaigns. The Young Volunteer Programme is developing based on feedback from the original Young Volunteers, and will focus on skill development, accredited training courses and offering every opportunity to help them succeed in life. Part of the Project Worker's role within this project will be helping to coordinate the programme as well as supporting the Young Volunteers through their training and skill development.
