    A fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Support Worker!

    The Richmond Fellowship Scotland we are dedicated to making a real difference in supporting people with their everyday lives. They are currently recruiting a Senior Support Worker to lead a small dedicated staff team to support a lady who requires 24 hour care in her own tenancy and also provide care and housing support to a number of individuals with varying support needs in the Glenrothes area.

    If you are positive, motivated, solution focused and respond positively to new challenges, this could be the role for you.

    You will be responsible for leading and managing staff on shift as well as coaching and mentoring staff in utilizing a best practice consistent approach. You will be required to work closely with other Seniors and the Team Manager to ensure the service runs smoothly.

    To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and experience of partnership working especially with families and professionals. You will need to support staff and lead the writing of support and participate in regular review meetings for all those supported. Not only will you get a great sense of achievement, but in return you can expect fantastic career progression opportunities, excellent training and a positive enjoyable working environment. For this fantastic opportunity you will need experience in coaching, mentoring and supporting new staff, in addition to at least 2 years previous experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability, physical and mental health conditions. An SVQ 3 in Care is desirable or be willing to work towards this. You will also be required to have a valid a full driving licence with access to transport. What matters most is that you have the right values and the right attitude.

    The successful applicant must also register with SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services on taking up the post.
