It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Community Engagement is increasingly becoming a more valuable skill for both statutory and voluntary groups to possess.

An exciting opportunity is now available for community groups and charities to improve their knowledge and skills in the area of community engagement.

The Engaging Fife Network group has developed a new “Introduction to Community Engagement” course which is free to attend.

This introductory course is designed for charities and community groups working in local communities in Fife.  This course is a result of a collaboration between Community Planning partners to strengthen community engagement practice throughout Fife.

This workshop will promote the importance of good community engagement and identify how the refreshed National Standard for Community Engagement can support local practice.

By the End of the session participants will

    • Have gained an understanding of why community engagement is so important to community groups / organisations.
    • Have the opportunity to consider their own local community engagement practice and identified strengths and weaknesses
    • Be aware awareness of the National Standard for Community Engagement and how they can be used to improve their own community engagement practice.

This training is being organised by Fife’s Engaging Communities Network Group

This event is free to attend but to encourage attendance and try and ensure a good turnout to benefit all delegates, we will charge a non-attendance fee of £25.00 per delegate. By submitting a booking for this event you agree to pay this fee for those delegates who have places booked but do not attend. Cancellations can be received up to 5 working days ahead of the event, thus avoiding non-attendance fees. A cancellation will only be valid if we have confirmed it with you. You can send somebody else in place of a booked delegate without incurring a non-attendance fee.

    Who is it for?

This course is aimed at Charities and Community Groups who, as part of their community work engage with communities on a regular basis.
