Hours: Sessions of 3 hours, 2-3 times weekly
Salary: £9 per hour plus expensesThis almost 18 year old young man is fun, funny, full of energy, and currently dealing with complicated health issues on top of profound Autism. Consequently, he requires to be safe at home until such time that he has regained his confidence, self and social awareness, and communication abilities. This is where YOU come in! They are running a home based program to help him regain skills, using the support of the Son-Rise Autism Treatment techniques. This means they operate a full program of fun activities at home to engage and motivate communication and socialisation, lost due to illness and an education system that failed his needs. Their aim is to get this young man back to realising his full potential, and explore once again the things that inspired him, such as Computer Animation and special effects, Cinema, Go Kart racing, swimming and water parks, meditation and imagination, interactive games, and learning. There is no medication or lifting involved. Confidence, Initiative, and a good sense of FUN is key!
