    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    We asked people who attended these sessions earlier in the year, what they liked most about our training - here are some of their comments:

    • "Talking over ideas and methods"
    • "I have always found the trainers to be very knowledgable re their topics"
    • "Chance to network and work with others"
    • "(topic) made easier to understand"
    • "Meeting new people and being involved in group activities"

    Course Content

    Despite the constant interest in new and better techniques to recruit volunteers, the true challenge in the volunteer field is first having meaningful activities for volunteers to do. Without preparation you run the risk of attracting people who do not really meet your needs and therefore are the wrong volunteers for you; and having the wrong volunteers may be worse than having no volunteers at all.

    Included in the course:

    •    Motivations for volunteering;
    •    Developing opportunities;
    •    Methods of recruitment;
    •    Recruitment messages;
    •    Recruitment strategies.

    Who should attend

    Anyone who has, or is expecting to have, responsibility for recruiting/managing volunteers in their organisation.

    In order to offer places to as many organisations as possible, we are only able to offer two places on each date to members of the same organisation. If your organisation would like to send more than 2 people, please get in touch with us to discuss options.
