Reopening of the Alloa to Dunfermline rail link - public meeting
Created: 24/04/2019A listening exercise to the views, concerns & needs of the local communities with inputs from the key stakeholders and decision makers. The meetings are being hosted by Mark Ruskell MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife. The evening will involve small group discussions and this is intended to encourage greater participation and ensure more people are able to contribute and have their say. There will also be a short presentation from David Prescott a local experienced rail consultant.
The main stakeholders and decision makers will be attending these meetings, it is therefore crucial that they have the voice of the local community feeding into this process and that their needs, concerns and aspirations are heard , documented and accommodated within the strategic development of this new rail service. Similarly the second round of bids for cash from the Local Rail Development Fund (LRDF) are due to be submitted by 28 June 2019. It is therefore important that this deadline is met, enabling funds to be secured to implement a further transport appraisal for the local communities of Alloa, Clackmannan , Dunfermline and the West Fife Coastal villages.
