Greener Kirkcaldy - Magical Hallowe'en Herbs
Created: 22/04/2019Most herbs can be aromatic, medicinal or culinary but many also come steeped in magical folklore and myths. At this time of year, when folklore considers the veil between the worlds to be at it's thinnest, you will meet some of their magical native herbs such as mugwort, elder and hawthorn. Listen to tales about their history and origins and then be inspired by their magic and medicine. You'll take a gentle walk through the garden to identify herbs growing at this time of year, and make some herbal incense mix that you can take home. There will be a mix of theory and practical hands-on activities, including a cup of delicious (and magical) herbal tea and a handout. The tutor for the class will be Simone Melanie from Solar Ripe. No experience necessary. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and walking footwear. There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
