In this season of abundance, learn about the ways you can preserve your herbs, fruit and other edibles so they last in to the winter months. They will talk about the different ways to store your crops including drying, fermenting and making infused oils and vinegar's, and advise on which method works best for various plants, herbs and produce. They'll also try out some techniques and ensure you feel inspired to go home and experiment. During the workshop you will harvest herbs from their garden to make a delicious herbal tea that you can taste and then try out at home.
The tutor for the class will be Simone Melanie from Solar Ripe. There will be a mix of theory and practical hands-on activities, including walking around the garden. No experience necessary. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and walking footwear. There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
