It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.The purpose of the workshop is to hear from Dr Shirley Evans from Worcester University about a service model for people living with a diagnosis of dementia and their carers called The Meeting Place.
The model is researched based and originated in the Netherlands. Shirley has been supporting the roll out of the model in England and would like to offer services in Scotland the same opportunity.
The model is inter-organisational and interdisciplinary and fits completely with the philosophy of health and social care integration. It works especially well with people who are in the mild to moderate stages of dementia. In the workshop Shirley will give information about the model and how we could consider implementing it in Scotland.
