Would you like to gain experience in food and cooking, and improve your progress into training, education, volunteering or employment? In partnership with BRAG Enterprise Ltd., the next Food Works! programme starts on Thursday 21 March 2019 at Greener Kirkcaldy's Lang Spoon Community Kitchen, Kirkcaldy. The programme will run 1 day a week over a 12-week period. Every week they'll have a practical cooking session where you will learn and develop lots of basic skills and techniques covering entry-level food skills. They'll also help you improve your employability skills with the opportunity to gain accredited qualifications with support from BRAG and Fife Council Community Food Team. They'll work with a professional chef from Fife College, visit a food producer, and access support from a Fife Training and Employability Consortium key worker.
Who can apply? School leavers and anyone who is long term unemployed, in need of work experience, new skills or training to get back into the job market, as well as people who may have other barriers to employment such as mental health.
