    Post: B:activ Project Coordinator

    Hours: 35 per week

    Salary: £19,110

The B:activ Co-ordinator will take responsibility for leading on delivery of the B:Activ project, which encourages and supports young people to become more involved in their local community and to offer young people who attend member groups access to fun and exciting alternative activities that promote physical activity and healthy lives. These will lead to improved skills, confidence and self-esteem, helping them to build healthy relationships in a supportive environment.

They have secured funding to continue and expand on the success delivered in the pilot phase. The focus over the next three years will be to build on the good foundations laid since 2016, and firmly embed B:activ into their offer to members and young people. Areas for development identified by the young volunteers in the pilot phase include more training, ways to accredit their learning, creation of a peer mentor scheme and opportunities for face to face delivery.
