Whether dealing with customers, suppliers, contractors, colleagues or Board Members, good negotiating skills are crucial to obtaining acceptance of your ideas or agreeing to contract terms. This beginner’s course aims to increase your chances of achieving “yes” on terms more favourable to you! We review the psychology behind the process and discuss how to take control of the meeting and end deadlock. The workshop will cover the following key areas:

    • Defining the Negotiation Environment
    • Negotiating styles and dealing with tough negotiators
    • Body language and how to read it
    • The stages of negotiation
    • Conflict resolution and overcoming deadlock

This will be a great opportunity to let the other SEs in Fife know about what you do and if you have any questions about funding, Evelyn from The Big Lottery Fund will be there to chat to.
