    This one day course was previously entitled "Complex Trauma" and is facilitated by Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre (FRASAC). The course is aimed at anyone who has previously completed either the Basic Awareness - Understanding Rape & Sexual Assault or See Me Not My Mask (facilitated by KASP) training. The course aims to develop a deeper understanding of trauma that has become embedded and possibly complex.

    Objectives of the Training:

    • To consider what the term 'trauma' means;
    • To examine how it can present and what the 'symptoms' are;
    • To look at the potential benefits of using psycho-education.

    On completing this training participants will:

    • Have a deeper understanding of trauma;
    • Have a greater insight into how it can impact on individuals, how it might present and the difficulties it can cause;
    • Have an awareness and basic understanding of psycho-education and how this can help de-mystify the symptoms of trauma and put proper emphasis on the individuals innate resourcefulness.

    Please note: Lunch is not being provided.
