This wonderful story from Liam, a young man in Fife, came via the organisation that supported him - LINK - East Fife Mental Health Adolescent Befriending Project. Read here about how the volunteer Befriender helped him, how he became inspired to volunteer and how he’s doing now. You will want to read to the end of this great account of individual recovery, personal development and also note that the compliment at the beginning of the piece refers to the Manager of the Project, Jane Maciver. Very fitting in this week of International Volunteer Managers’ Day, 05 November.
