FVA has a new virtual address!

News/Events Category: FVA NewsOur website has moved to a new address! Lots of things seem to be getting shorter - the days, my memory and, technically, life itself! We've decided to help a little bit by making our website and e-mail addresses shorter - saving you time typing and reducing the workload on your memory. We're now at www.fva.org and your e-mail contacts here are all <firstname>@fva.org
Don't worry- we've not removed any content or stopped the old, longer name (fifevoluntaryaction.org.uk) - this is just a technical change designed to make things just a little easier for our staff, volunteers and, of course, our partners, customers and website visitors. The new platform should also be faster and we will soon be embarking on an ambitious redesign.
For now, any links to pages on the old domain (www.fifevoluntaryaction.org.uk) will redirect to the new site, but we'd suggest that you update any bookmarks anyway- the pages will load quicker, and there'll be less risk of issues in the future.
Our staff's e-mail addresses have also changed. Again, the old addresses will work for the time being, but we'd suggest you update any contact lists/distribution lists to reflect the change, to prevent any future issues.
Similarly, our helpdesk is now located at support.fva.org.
We've had a few challenges as some systems across global networks update certain address details, but these appear to be working for everybody now. If you encounter any issues please let us know by e-mailing [email protected], or calling Michael on 01334 654 080.
