    Post: Support Worker

    Hours: 30 per week

    Salary: £8.75 per hour (unqualified), £8.97 per hour (qualified)

    As a support worker you will support individuals to deal with the immediate impact of homelessness and thereafter to secure/sustain a tenancy and provide structured and support with life skills. You will monitor health and wellbeing and will be responsible for controlling access to the building, dealing with emergencies and carrying out health and safety checks and maintaining standards of cleanliness in the hostel. In addition to the hostel, you will provide an outreach service throughout Fife to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, substance misuse and alcohol related brain injury in their own homes.

    Applicants must have an SVQ2 in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria or be willing to work towards this. A current driving licence and the use of a car for work purposes are essential. The posts are subject to a PVG Disclosure check.
