    Created: 04/06/2018
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

Fife Voluntary Action is delighted to launch the new Delivering Differently (DD) Pilot Fund.

This fund aims to allow individuals and services to test and/or develop new and different ways of delivering services which will improve the journey towards employment for people with mental health issues.

    Proposals must:

    • Show engagement with people with lived experience of mental health problems in the design, development and delivery of bids.
    • Cover both mental health and employability – not just one or the other.
    • Identify the localities in which they intend to be operating. Priority areas are Cowdenbeath, Kirkcaldy or Levenmouth as these are the areas identified as having the largest correlation between unemployment and mental health issues. However projects addressing issues relating to rurality, or Fife-wide provision will also be considered.
    • Be completed by the end of February 2019.
    • Commit to work with the DD independent evaluation team, RCO Consulting, to develop the ‘theory of change’ for the project and an evidence-based approach to assessing the impact of their pilot.
    • Be submitted by a legally constituted organisation: public, private or third sector.

The total budget for the pilot fund is £130,000. Maximum bids will be £30,000. There is no minimum bid requirement.

To find out more please see the application guidance notes and application form.

We also highly recommend all those submitting bids take into consideration the findings of the Delivering Differently Workshops. The Final Report of which is attached here.

Application forms should be returned by the deadline of Friday 29th June to David MacPhail: [email protected] or

Fife Voluntary Action, Craig Mitchell House, Flemington Road, Glenrothes KY7 5QF.

If you have any queries about your project contact Pegs Bailey ([email protected]) or Christine Davison ([email protected]) or  phone 01592 760 720.

    About Delivering Differently

Delivering Differently for mental health and employment is working with strategic partners to improve support for people in Fife who are experiencing mental health issues.

Our vision is that people with mental health problems in Fife can easily access appropriate support as and when they are ready to make the journey (back) into work.

    • People will have greater ownership of their journey: they are part of the solution rather than the cause of ‘a problem’ and their voice is heard.
    • Staff across sectors will know how the system(s) work and where to go for specialist support.
    • Employers in Fife will feel confident to support their staff and to create mentally healthy workplaces.

Delivering Differently reports jointly to the Opportunities Fife Partnership and the Fife Health & Social Care Partnership and is supported by a Project Team with representation from key partners.
