Health and Social Care

  • Third Sector organisations operating in Fife make a positive and significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of our local citizens and communities. Our public sector partners in Social Work and NHS Fife rely on the many diverse services provided by the third sector in the field of health and social care.

    Health and Social Care Integration

    People, communities and the third sector organisations that support them will be impacted by the integration agenda and the current developments within public sector service planning and delivery, creating both opportunities as well as challenges for the third sector.
    Fife Voluntary Action, as the third sector interface, plays an important dual role within the integration agenda:
    • Representing the sector, in all its diversity, at Fife’s strategic and local management levels;
    • Keeping sector colleagues up to date with policy and planning developments;
    How:
    • Third Sector Health and Social Care Forum (2nd Thursday of every month 10:00am to 12:00pm, Glenrothes)
    • Health and Social Care Bulletin (3rd Week of every Month)
    • Website content (updated regularly)
