    About this opportunity:As a Trustee/Secretary, you will be making a significant contribution to a fast growing charity. The role is an opportunity to make a real and direct impact on a major health challenge in Scotland. SupportED is a friendly, supportive and professional team. They take governance seriously, undertaking an annual online survey to ensure understanding and compliance. Volunteering provides opportunities to give something back to an organisation or community, whether or not it has made a difference to your life. It enables people to play an active role in their society and contribute to positive social change, as well as improving employability and learning new skills.

    As part of your overall trustee duties of leading and governing the charity's activities, you will bring to the table legal or regulatory experience. In addition, you will have experience of running a charity or as a business leader.

    Training provided:There will be a mixture of formal and informal training, as well as a handover from the existing (retiring) Secretary

    Travel DetailsThe opportunity is home based. They meet online as a board every two months. The Chair, Treasurer and Secretary also meet online every other month. There is an annual face to face meeting which happens once per year in Glasgow.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!

Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible!
