About this opportunity:Care and Share Companionship is a relatively new Scottish Registered Charity. We recently celebrated our first year of being an active service. We support people over the age of 60 who are living in isolation and loneliness within the Kirkcaldy area of Fife. Our aim is to provide a service that helps improve health and wellbeing. Our mission is to provide 1-1 personalised flexible companionship and make people feel valued and part of their community.
This is an exciting and challenging year to establish our presence, with ambition, empathy, passion and energy to support those people who sometimes feel invisible.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!

Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.
