OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Opportunity to join the Board of Directors to attend Committee Meetings, every 6 weeks. Along with the other members, you will be supporting and advising the organisations management in the day to day running of Centre. You will be helping come decisions about the present/future development of the service.
This would suit an individual who has past experience with working with the elderly (but not essential) but must have an interest in older people and has the time to attend meetings and any fundraising events planned.
Abbeyview Day Centre provides day care for individuals over the age of 65, who the majority have a form of dementia.Takes place: Please contact us to find out when this opportunity takes place. Training provided: Board member would have induction with Chairperson. Experience required: Experience with working in the care profession (but not essential). Interest in the welfare of older people. Fundraising experience would be a benefit but again not essential. Knowledge of issues effecting the elderly, communication skills and willingness to attend learning opportunities. Restrictions on who can volunteer
