OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Trust in Fife provides a range of services to homeless people throughout Fife. We are a Scottish registered charity, a Company Limited by Guarantee, and our activities are regulated by the Care Inspectorate.
We are looking to strengthen our voluntary Board of Directors, who ensure that strong corporate governance and a commitment to our vision, purpose and values underpins everything that we do. The Board normally meets on a monthly basis.
We are looking for individuals who have common sense; an ability to work as part of a team; an understanding of the pressures facing charitable organisations in the current economic climate; and a genuine interest in being involved.

Director, Trustee, Board/Committee member or Governor?!
Organisations have different names for the volunteers who are responsible for the running of the organisation - some are called Board members, some are Committee members, some may use the word Director for example. Broadly speaking, they mean the same thing - the people at the top who are ultimately responsible! These are important roles (for which training and support is available) and without volunteers at board level voluntary sector organisations could not exist.Help and Support
