    About this opportunity:An exciting opportunity to make a difference at Craigtoun Country Park
    The Friends of Craigtoun is a registered Scottish Charity (No SC044249) based at Craigtoun Country Park. They are
    responsible for running, maintaining and developing the park. They are currently recruiting for volunteer Trustees to join
    their Board.
    They are an ambitious charity wanting to make a difference to the lives of people living in the local community and all
    those who come to visit. They are committed to ensuring that Craigtoun Country Park remains as a valued public green
    space, recreational and educational facility, readily available to all sections of the community.
    The Park plays a significant role in community wellbeing, outdoor learning, inclusion, volunteering and affordable
    recreation.
    No board or trustee experience is required and full induction training will be provided.

    Takes place:
    morningsafternoonsevenings
    Mondays
    Tuesdays
    Wednesdays
    Thursdays
    Fridays
    Saturdays
    Sundays

    Training provided:Full induction process with the Chair person to explain legal responsibilities as a Trustee and Director. Review of policies and procedures. Explanation of board papers. Overview of the organisation including current strategy. On-line training available on specific topics as required. One-to-one support from Chair and other trustees as required.
    Experience required:Enthusiasm about helping sustain and develop the park and its activities. As a Trustee and Director of Friends of Craigtoun you willprovide leadership and direction for Friends of Craigtoun, this will include developing the strategy and planning for the organisation. Willingness to work as part of the team and lead on specific areas of interest. No board or trustee experience is required full induction training will be given.
