OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Circle of Comfort is a charity that provides complementary therapies to people diagnosed with Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease in their own home or in hospital, free of charge.
Circle of Comfort is managed by a voluntary Executive Committee of Trustees, and the board meets on a bimonthly basis. They have an opening for a Treasurer to join the team.
The role of the Treasurer will be to:
Liaise with the Chairperson and committee members to ensure the financial viability of the organisation (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, etc).
Undertake bookkeeping duties and ensure posting and bookkeeping is kept up-to-date.
Arrange payments to creditors and arrange appropriate signatures/authorisations on payments.
Attend the organisation's Executive Meetings (three times per year) and the AGM and report on the financial position.
Prepare the annual accounts for submission to OSCR and liaise with an independent examiner.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays 
Fridays Saturdays Sundays Training provided: Trustee training provided by OSCAR, FVA ad EVOC. Experience required: A qualification in, or experience of, accountancy or bookkeeping is required for this role. Also, the ability to communicate clearly. Restrictions on who can volunteer
