    About this opportunity:Home-Start Cowdenbeath Area are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join their Board of Trustees. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the future of a valued local charity that supports families with young children through challenging times. As a Trustee, you'll contribute your skills and experience to guide their strategic direction, ensure good governance, and support the continued delivery of high-quality services.

    Home-Start Cowdenbeath Area is particularly interested in people with backgrounds in finance, HR, legal, fundraising, or early years, but welcome applications from anyone passionate about supporting families. You don't need prior board experience just a willingness to learn and get involved.

    Training provided:Home Start offer a hybrid preparation course with online modules and face to face sessions. Supervision with the Co-ordinator every 6 weeks and opportunities for extra training.
    Experience required:To be a Trustee for Home-Start Cowdenbeath, they are looking for people who believe in family support and early intervention who can offer practical and strategic input. You must be trustworthy and committed, ideally, with a mix of skills and experiences around governance, child protection but training around this can be provided.

    Travel DetailsTrustees attend quarterly board meetings, with occasional additional involvement. Meetings are done either face to face in Home Start Cowdenbeath premises (170 High Street, Cowdenbeath, KY4 9NH) or on Zoom video calls.
