    About this opportunity:Fife Pride is dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality. They host an annual vibrant Pride event bringing together individuals, families, and allies to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ identities. The organisation is run entirely by passionate volunteers who collaborate to create a welcoming and safe space for all.

    Fife Pride requires a Convenor, who will be the guiding force behind Fife Pride. Their leadership will help ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

    Responsibilities:
    * Lead meetings and discussions, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
    * Communicate with Fife Council over the Service Level Agreement, and funding.
    * Coordinate the evaluation of Fife Pride.
    * Represent Fife Pride in public engagements and with partners.
    * Support the wider team in planning and executing the Pride event.
    * Oversee long-term strategy and organisational development.
    * Act as a key spokesperson for Fife Pride.

    Training provided:An overview of the role and responsibilities will be provided as part of an induction and initial support will be provided by the previous Treasurer. Ongoing support will be provided by the trustees. The volunteer will also be part of a Whatsapp group.
    Experience required:* Strong leadership and facilitation skills. * Experience in chairing meetings and writing funding applications * Experience in leading teams or groups, particularly in a voluntary or event-based setting. * Excellent communication and organisational skills with experience in event planning or project management (desirable) * Passion for LGBTQ+ equality and community events.

    Travel DetailsMeetings mostly held monthly on-line on a Monday at 5.30pm, however this is flexible. From April up until the event in July meetings are held either weekly or bi-weekly. Occasional meetings take place at '˜The Hive', Kirkcaldy which is accessible by public transport. The Pride event takes place at Kirkcaldy Town Square
