Aims and objectives
Spencer House isi a very Sheltered Housing complex and contains 29 flats.
There is a Very Shelter officer on site 7days a week from 9am-3pm after that time the tenants have a pull cord system each of there flats that signals an emergency team.
The tenants all live quite independently with the services put in place tailored to their individual need.
Spencer House has a communal lounge/kitchen that tenants can arrange coffee mornings/bingo/book clubs/movie afternoons etc
A Volunteer is required to help organise groups/activities and befriend tenants and encourage social interaction. Demonstrate appropriate boundaries ,maintain confidentiality and have an understanding of older peoples needs.
They will work under the direction of Lead Officer but have a Very Shelter officer for day to day advice/queries.
