Cupar Hard of Hearing Group
Created/last updated: 08/02/2023Aims and objectives | We welcome anyone living with hearing loss, who is within travelling distance of Cupar. Some of us have vision loss too. Hearing partners are also welcome. We''re friendly and mutually supportive. Speech is our first language and we use good communication tactics within the group. An induction loop is available. We''re interested in every aspect of living well with hearing loss. Eg Good communication tactics for family members; Accessing all sorts of services - NHS, Social Work, the Arts, travel. We invite speakers from different services and organisations to talk to us - and to listen to us. We often signpost each other to other helpful organisations / technology/accessible experiences. For some of us, this is the first time we''ve joined a group which is hearing friendly and we find it''s a really good way to connect with others with similar experiences to our own. Plus, coffee/tea/biscuits are provided! |
