Voluntary Sector Children's Services Forum

  • The Voluntary Sector Children's Services Forum (VSCSF) is Fife's longest established third sector forum. It is well attended by a range of providers of all sizes from across Fife. It is open to any third sector provider working with children or young people in Fife.

The Forum meets about 8-10 times each year, depending on topical developments. Membership is wide and flexible - simply let us know you'd like to be on the mailing list and we'll keep you posted on meetings and discussions, and let us know whether or not you'll be coming to the next meeting. Most of the current members of the Forum represent third sector interests at partnership meetings. Acting as a representative for third sector interests is not a requirement, but we would expect most members to be willing to contribute in this way, and share information and learning with peers at the Forum meetings.

The primary role of the Voluntary Sector Children's Services Forum is to provide opportunities for those organisations involved in providing services to and for children and young people to come together to share and exchange experience and information and to provide mutual support. The Forum supports the development and strengthening of the third sector so it can influence statutory policy, practice developments and contribute to, and participate in, the Community Planning agenda.

The Forum seeks to participate fully in the Community Planning process as it affects children and young people and will work towards ensuring the third sector is represented on all appropriate bodies.

For more information about the Forum please contact Corinna Crawford.
